Dr. Joshua Medina

Dr. Joshua Medina PT, DPT

Physical Therapist

I grew up in Hackensack, NJ, and attended Rutgers University, where I majored in Biology. I went on to Kean University, where I earned my Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2025. I’m excited to begin my professional journey and continue growing as a physical therapist.

During my clinical education, I gained hands-on experience through outpatient orthopedic rotations as well as acute care rotations in a hospital setting, allowing me to treat a variety of patients—from sports rehabilitation to post-surgical care. These diverse experiences have helped shape my patient-centered approach and solidified my passion for orthopedic and rehabilitative care.

Core Values: I value building strong relationships with patients through open communication and collaboration.

“Progress, not perfection.”

At Rutherford Physical Therapy, I specialize in treating post-operative recovery, orthopedic conditions, and sports-related injuries. I enjoy working with active individuals, helping them maximize their performance while preventing injury.

I enjoy the one-on-one treatment I am able to give patients and being able to focus on their individual progress.
